Each Boy Represented...
Our van is getting even easier to find in the parking lot- we now have both boys represented on the back of the van. You would be surprised how many burgundy Odysseys there are here! Now we look for the stickers rather then standing there wondering "WHICH one of these is ours? Anyone remember just where we parked??"
We were proud to put the "Honor Roll Student" on the van...David was tickled to death that would actually put a bumper sticker on (how could we not??).This green and yellow decal is the Okinawa symbol for "New Driver" (as in "BEWARE" and "STAY WAY AWAY FROM THIS VEHICLE!" ...or something like that!). It is a "Wakaba mark". New driver must display this decal on their car for one year after receiving their license. There is another one for elderly drivers (called a "maple mark" or "autumn leaf"). I think these are a wonderful idea! A gentle reminder to give these new and elderly drivers a little extra courtesy and patience.
